HSR is optimized to fit into a typical production environment, and it always operates from the second pallet. This reduces investment size and minimizes the footprint.

Handling and Sorting Robot (HSR) is a modular and affordable automation solution for 2D lasers. It handles all processes automatically from raw material loading, part picking and stacking to skeleton unloading.
The concept is designed to operate from the second pallet changer, reducing investment compared with approaches that require a third pallet and storage.


The platform is highly modular: expandable with wagons, storage connections, and other options as production requirements grow or change. Existing stand-alone 2D lasers can also be upgraded with this automation.

  • Parts are automatically stacked on pre-positioned pallets, dropped into boxes, or stacked onto cassettes and delivered to the additional storage.
  • For raw material loading: floor-mounted separation magnets for direct placement of raw material or a pair of wagons with separation magnets for added capacity and uninterrupted process.
  • Gripper bars adjust automatically and independently for most optimal part picking and can handle a wide range of part sizes. Optional magnets can be added as well.
  • The compact skeleton removal device can be positioned on either side of the pallet changer. Skeletons are stacked onto a customer-supplied pallet.
